As property owners, and experienced “vacation rental home” users ourselves, we know the importance of having a property that has the comforts and convenience of home, and is ready for you when you arrive.

  • This unique property site on 80 acres with 45% of the property being field for grazing of horses / cows, which we have on the property at various times of the year.
  • We have owned and enjoyed this property since it was new, and we wanted to share a few facts about the property that we hope you will find helpful.
  • The Home is over 4,380 sq. ft in size with three levels including 4 bedrooms, and 2  1/2 baths, and sleeps 16 people
  • There is a Barn that onsite that has 4 stall horse barn, that also included an office with a full bathroom.   There is gym that is located above the barn and offers everything from weight to aerobic exercise equipment (must be over 16 to be allow to use the gym).
  • The property has 3 levels and lots for space to gather together, or to get away for a while.
  • Level 1 includes:  One Large bedroom with three full size beds, and a fun English phone booth as the dresser, along with a TV stand and TV with DVD player (and lots of DVD’s for the kids).  The game room is located on this level and includes a pool table, air hockey table, poker table, bar, and a TV room with two full couches (one of them being a queen sleeper).  This level a 1/2 bath.  The level also a laundry room and the mechanical equipment is also housed in this room. The game room on this level has access to the garage as well as the exterior via a patio door.
  • Level 2 includes: Two very nice sized carpeted bedrooms, one bedroom has a queen bed, while the other bedroom has two full size beds.  This level also has a full size bathroom that also has an instant heat sink.   This 2nd level also includes a Large Kitchen with stainless steel appliances (appliances updated in 2013) and granite counter tops that extend to an outer counter area that is set up with bar stools to allow seating for 6 people.  The dining room has a large dining table and seating for 8 people.  This level has a wood burning fireplace and a living room seating area with leather couches, and recliner –  and vaulted two story ceiling, with three levels of window.  This level also has a large raised deck that will hold your guests.  This level also has access to the outside via the main door to the property.  The dining room, living room and hallway has hardwood floors throughout.
  • Level 3 includes:  Very large master bedroom, electric fireplace, and large sitting areas give you a very rich and warm feel.  Hardwood floors cover the master area.  Master bedroom has been designed with its own private balcony, and has a very open feeling with it’s vaulted ceiling and loft open style layout, allowing your viewing of the 3 levels of windows.  The large master bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and a large 5’x5′ walk-in shower. The master also has a large walking closet.
  • Outdoors: We have may outdoor activities that you can enjoy – there are 2 Mountain bikes on-site and available for you to use, a set of Bocce Balls for you to enjoy, and basketball hoop and ball.
  • A Short Drive Away:  You can enjoy Skiing, or Cat tours at Monarch Ski resort, White Water Rafting, Kayaking, Mountain Climbing, RappellingATV adventure, Horseback riding, Hunting, Fishing, Sightseeing, Royal Gorge scenic train ride, Zip line, Royal Gorge Helitours, Skyline Drive, Colorado Prison Museum, Tunnel Road, The Gold Mine Rock Shop, etc..

Towns that are just a short drive:

  • Texas Creek:  Named for a Texas cattle rancher, this fly-fishing and ATV hotspot is loaded with scenic vistas and wildlife viewing opportunities.
  • Cotopaxi:  This former whistle-stop town is nestled along the Arkansas River and is the perfect spot to stay. Rafting outfitters and a campground call the quaint community home along with a handful of shops and eateries.
  • Howard:  The Arkansas River runs through this little Valley town, drawing rafters, kayakers and fishermen. The beautiful forested area features horseback riding, hiking, ATV tours and golfing.
  • Parkdale:  Near the Royal Gorge make it a popular base camp for visitors with campers or who want to tent-it. The area is the gateway to whitewater rafting and Bighorn Sheep Canyon.
  • Coaldale:  A bustling mining town and popular touring stop for opera
 stars in the late 1800s, remote Coaldale is surrounded by towering peaks and is known for its secluded camping opportunities.
  • Bighorn Sheep Canyon:  Long known as a gateway into the Rockies, Highway 50 divides Cañon City as it runs west through the towering
rock walls of the Arkansas River Canyon. This beautiful
 canyon has been dubbed “Bighorn Canyon,” and hosts a thriving population of Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, Colorado’s state animal. The majestic animals are often seen on both sides of the river from convenient turn-outs throughout the canyon.
